I am Kavitha-Age 2 D/O. Karuppasamy, I live in Ambedhkar Nagar, Arukuli Village, Gopichettipalaiyam Taluka, Erode district with parents and I three brothers. My brother’s name are Vishvanathan, Aanath Babu, Varatha Raj, they are doing some small business. I have completed 9th standard in Gopichettipalaiyam after that I dropped my education and even my mother’s health condition is also not good so I have to completely drop out the school.

Later I joined a spinning mill, which is nearby the village. My daily wages were Rs.150/-.so this work was so much of pressurizing and had overloaded work so I left working there.

READ organization conducted Vocational Tailoring course class in Kurumbathur to help women to get self-employed and to increase the status of women. I was interested in tailoring class so I joined. After my completed of course, READ organization gave certificated. Then I bought a new tailoring machine. At present, I own small scale business.

Now I stitch blouse and chudithar for the people living in my village. Though she is education, now she owns a job, being self-employment. This job brought respect; it is helpful for economic growth and increased dignity level.

This skill training course helped my life. I must thank READ for given such opportunities
