Our History

READ (Rural Education and Action Development) was established in 2001 with a vision to uplift marginalized and vulnerable communities through education, awareness, and sustainable development initiatives.

Over the years, READ has broadened its scope to include migrant workers welfare, prevention of child labour and child marriage, gender-based violence, and livelihood support for vulnerable families. The organization has consistently shifted from a welfare approach to a Community empowerment -based and empowerment-driven model, ensuring long-term and sustainable impact.

Today, READ stands as a trusted grassroots organization with over two decades of experience, actively engaging with communities, government systems, and civil society networks to promote dignity, equality, and social justice.
